We All Love Children!

Education

TORCH missions cares about and helps children receive an education that will help end the cycle of poverty by hosting book drives, school supply/uniform drives, and supporting teachers that can help educate the children in Honduras. Every year there are children that would not have otherwise been able to attend school due to their inability to have the basic necessities and TORCH, along with the Honduras Project provide many opportunities that otherwise would not have been possible.

Hospital Visitation

Every summer the TORCH teams visit the hospital children’s ward, to visit with, pray for, encourage, and give a little sunshine to an otherwise challenging situation. Many of the teams bring boxes of items to give to the children, from a stuffed animal, small toys, a necklace, a coloring book and crayons, or a Bible. The smiles from the families for the time we spend with the children is a blessing to everyone.

Orphanages

An area of visitation that TORCH is involved with in Honduras is to the local orphanages.  Various religious groups or private organizations operate many of the orphanages in Tegucigalpa.  The state simply can’t afford to operate many such facilities. The children are definitely better off than the homeless children in the streets. They have clean, safe facilities and eat healthy food. Still these guys still need love and attention a mission team can bring. TORCH groups visit several every year.

Children’s VBS

We sing spiritual songs, act out our skits, do puppet shows, and teach Bible stories with these children.
