Tim & Marcia Hines
Tim Hines has been involved with TORCH Missions for more than three decades, leading mission teams to Honduras since 1993. He served for several years as President of TORCH Missions after taking the reins from TORCH co-founder Steve Davidson. Tim and his family also previously spent three years living and serving as full-time missionaries in Honduras.
Before moving to Honduras, Tim served as a full-time youth minister in Florida for 19 years. After returning to the United States, he lived in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area, where he worked with Hilltop Rescue providing disaster relief following Hurricane Katrina.
Today, Tim and his wife, Marcia, live full-time in Santa Ana, Honduras, where they are actively involved in the daily work of Inter-American Restoration Corporation (IRC) and TORCH Missions.
Tim serves as Executive Director of IRC and Clinica de Esperanza and helps oversee IRC's ministries and operations in Honduras. His responsibilities include maintaining relationships with Honduran government officials and community leaders, supporting Clinica de Esperanza, assisting with ministry and community-development projects, and working alongside TORCH mission teams. Tim also helps oversee the daily operations and continued development of Agua Viva, IRC's mission facility in Santa Ana.
Marcia Hines serves as IRC's Executive Assistant and Bookkeeper and coordinates communication, information, and finances with TORCH group leaders. She manages the IRC and TORCH Missions websites and works behind the scenes throughout the year to help teams prepare for their time in Honduras. Living in Santa Ana also allows Marcia to work directly with the ministries, staff, and mission teams they serve.
Marcia has volunteered with teens and children for more than 25 years and continues to have a special passion for youth ministry. She continues to serve as a camp counselor and Bible teacher at Central Florida Bible Camp and has coordinated registration for major Central Florida youth and church events, including SonQuest and the Spiritual Growth Workshop, now known as Equip.
Together, Tim and Marcia have devoted decades to youth ministry, missions, humanitarian service, and church ministry. Now based full-time in Honduras, they continue to serve alongside local communities, churches, missionaries, and visiting teams with the goal of building relationships, meeting physical needs, and sharing the love of Christ through both words and service.
